Is anyone having problems with the paint fading and peeling on a 2000 4 runner limited?

I have a 2002 Tundra 4X4 Limited and it's paint is going bad.  There are 3 (at this time) areas that are fogging in a circular pattern.  The paint is smooth to the touch and appears to be going bad underneath the clear coat. Toyota is denying the warranty claim saying that it's due to an "Outside Contaminate".  I live in Southern California which is known for it's mild climate, wash my truck every 1-2 weeks and wax it every 6-8 months, it's WHITE paint.  It should NOT be going bad.  My last Toyota truck went 250,000 miles and 13 years without the paint going bad.  NONE of my other cars I have owned have had paint problems.  I find Toyota's stand on this issue unacceptable.  I plan on calling in arbitration and the next time I look to purchase a new car or truck, the idea of buying a Toyota will NOT be considered.  It seems to me Toyota is going down the path Cadillac did 30+ years ago,  that they had a good reputation for quality and people would ALWAYS by one because of it.  WRONG!  If you start building crap and/or DON'T stand behind your product, people WILL try your competition.  How does Toyota think they got were they are in the American market in the 1st place?  Cadillac has spent the last few DECADES trying to repair their image and win back customers.  It would appear that Toyota is about to make the same mistake.

Yes.  I own a 2001 4 Runner and the paint is so badly faded it's imbarassing.  It has no shine especially on the hood.  I bought my vehicle off the showroom floor and have always taken the best care of it only to have the paint look terrible.  It makes you sick to pay that kind of price for something and have it not last but a couple of years.  My husband owns a 1998 Chevy truck and it shines like glass.
