My greyhound has erlichiosis. The doxycycline did not cure...

My greyhound has erlichiosis. The doxycycline did not cure him. Since the original intensive dose, he has been on and off of it and still has high titers.
Is there another drug that can be tried to fight this terrible disease ?
Also he is on phenobarbitrol now for seizures and can no longer take the doxycycline.
Is there a site I can go to who can discuss treatments ?             Brenda
