I have a '97 VW Cabrio w/ automatic transmission. It shifts late & sometimes downshifts early. I've had the fluid changed twice & the filter once (by professionals) & am told there is nothing wrong with it. Sometimes it doesn't shift till at 4000 rpm. I have read one problem these had was a bad transmission fluid temperature sensor. I can't find anything on this in the Bentley repair manual. What is it & where is it? Could this be my problem? This tranny doesn't have a dipstick, I know VW made 2 styles in '97. Thanks
