I have a 1990 Jetta, in great shape, runs well, except for one huge problem that my mechanic cannot seem to fix.  When it rains, my fuse powering the windshield wipers, the radio and the heat/fan panel shorts, and of course, I have no use of any of these things.  My mechanic says it is caused by water dripping down from the windshield wipers into the fuse box- just a flaw in the model????  But he doesn't know how to prevent it from happening.  I live in Vancouver.  It rains.  PLease help if you have any advice for me!
