I just adopted a Lhasa Apso, about 1 1/2 yrs old, from the pound. He was fine the first day with a slight cough. He ate well & seemed happy. He has now been diagnosed w/Kennel cough which I got medication for.  The problem is that he was bleeding when trying to have a bowel movement.  He almost seemed to be constipated, if thats possible in dogs. The second time he tried there was only blood coming out. The vet said he doubted it could be parvo as he is no longer a puppy. He gave no meds or info on what this could be. My dog has stopped eating well & is not very active at this time. Does that sound like anything in particular ?  The bleeding has stopped.
Can anyone help? I don't know what to do. Thanks you.
