At what age does a black lab's muzzle start to gray?  I recently adopted a female black lab from an animal shelter.  The shelter told me the dog was 2 years old.  When I took the dog to the vet for a check up, the vet told me the dog was 4 to 6 years old.  The dog's fur is starting to gray under her chin.  I was wondering if this could help me get a more accurate idea of her age.  Not that it matters, she's a sweet dog and she's found a home for life.
