I have a 2005 4x4 tundra which I have owned about a week.  The oil pressure gage shows a pressure of one quarter, rising to one half when accelerating, then returning to one quarter after acceleration.  I took it back to the dealer and they told me the pressure was "normal."  I've never owned a vehicle that showed continuous low pressure or that fluctuated so much with acceleration.  I understand this was a problem with the 04s until they fixed the gage sensor unit. Obviously a gage that shows one quarter oil pressure is worrisome, how do you know when you DO have low pressure, wait for it read zero or until your engine freezes up?  Does anyone else have a problem with this?  jack
