Macker is right it's true the Dogue De Bordeaux does have the greatest jaw strength due to to its large head, which houses the extra large jaw muscles. Dogues have the largest head out of all the dogs.
Also due to its size it can't do much, for example hang off a rope. But as a guardian it is one hell of a dog believe me I've had many experiences with this particular breed.

I have to disagree with Mike and Mackers about the dogue DE Bordeaux and there theory on the size meaning more power, it is purely down to the structure of the skull shape which makes the alligator king of the chomp and the English bull terrier having three or for times stronger than all other bull terriers because of the triangle head structure

Dude, the question wasn't head size, i work at a kennel and i see all kinds of breeds all the time the Bordeaux doesn't have the strongest jaw. The pitbull does.

There is no strongest breed. there are terriers who can break bone as quickly and as easily as any APBT or any other breed. There are also Great Danes which couldn't hold a bone back from a beagle who really wanted it. All dogs can be very strong in the jaw, just matters how much they want what they are biting!!
