increased appetite, enlarged nipples, after 30 days she will start to get a little fatter, less activity after about 30 days.  You should definitely know just by looking at her in 30 days from her last day mating/being in heat.

um i was wondering if any1 could help me, my lurcher is about 1 now and she has just was in season but now she is become more clingy and while hardly exercise. her nipples are becoming bigger and harder. there is a dog which lives next door and all that separates them is a little fence is there any possibility she is pregnant??

Our dog has just gone into "The Heat" the night before last. Last night we heard some barking and we knew that it wasn't our dog's bark. We want to know if she's pregnant.

There is a good chance that she may get pregnant. The dog barking may have been from a male that could smell her urine and tell that she was in heat. Also LurcherLuver If in fact your dog had any way of getting to the male over the fence or the male got to your dog than there is a good chance that she is pregnant, but if you want to know for sure talk to your vet.

I think my female dog may be pregnant.  My big dilemma is I think it was a litter mate that got her pregnant as he lives down the road.  Is this dangerous for the puppies?

I would like to know if she has small nippls and her tummy is a tad bit bigger what in the world does that mean. We left her outside one day and when she came back a few days later she started throwing up.

Im not sure if my dogs in heat at the moment, but I looked at signs of being in heat and she has those. About a week ago she had blood, and just today my girl cairn and guy cairn were doing it for about a half an hour. Do you think shes pregnant

i have two pugs a male and female!!!be for i got a female we got my male neutered. My female is not spade. my female began heat about 4 days ago. two nights ago my male and female were humping. i saw his penis go into her. we made them stop. we picked up the female and there was white stuff all over her private. does this mean she is pregnant? what is the % of a neutered dog getting a female dog pregnant?

We just bead my female dog about 2 weeks ago, shes a boxer..and we brought another male boxer over. They mated 2 times in one day and got stuck both times, then we got him over again 2 days later, and they mated once..they got stuck. Now we need to fill up her water bowl constantly! and she eats alot more then normal, and there is also some greenish white liquid coming from her vagina im not sure if she is pregnant, or not? could somebody please help me?

My puppy is about a year old and just went into heat for the first time. She has been out of heat for about a week or so now. Her nipples are bigger and harder and also there are little bag-like things under each of her nipples. is this normal for female dogs or could she be pregnant? (she did get out while in heat for a little while, but only for about 15-20 min.)

can someone help me my dog went into heat a while back and she got out while in heat we finally found her but i need to know the signs of pregnancy or false pregnancy..she throws up just about every morning i cant really tell if she has to urinate more and i dont think she has increased appetite but she does have large teets and her boobs are getting bigger they hang down more..is it hormonal or is she pregnant??    email me please if u have an answer my email is "ptballsmysport@yahoo.com"

Always take care your pet as if she were pregnant until you know for sure. make sure she gets enough to eat and plenty of daily activity. But also make sure she has plenty of rest. Because chances are that she's not pregnant. She is going through some hormonal changes and she needs your love and attention just as much.

i cant tell if my dog is pregnant she got out and went missing for over a hour her tetes are big and we seem to feel something in the bottom half of her tummy and now is scaving food which she never use to do before she got out what do you think

My Dog Heidi,just has large nipples,and her stomach is sometimes round and is sometimes just normal.Most of the time when I feel her stomach jerks.I don't know what it is, but if you tell me please do.

My dog was just in heat a few days ago, we brought our neighbors dog over the past couple of nights and she has been getting stuck with him. My dog is past her heat and now for some odd reason shes peeing all over the house, shes potty trained but this has never happened before. This has happened twice in the past hour and a half, as soon as we enter the house and say "hey" to her she pee'severywhere. Could this be a sign of pregnancy, she also has been getting wider in her sides and her nipples are becoming larger. Is this a good sign shes pregnant!?

Well, my dog was in heat like 2 or 3 weeks ago, and we just noticed that her teats appear to be a bit bigger. That's the only sign we've seen, but we're REALLY hoping she pregnant. We tried breeding her when she was like 3, but the male was completely uninterested so we figured she was infertile. What do you guys thing about this situation?

my grandma has 2 germ-an shepherds 1 female and 1 male. they was in a cage by themselves alone with no other dogs for 3 weeks!i seen them tangle a few times while they was in the cage.is there a way she might be pregnant by him?when my grandma knew for sure that she was not in heat anymore, she let them out of the cage.she is big like she is pregnant.but i have seen him jump on her a few times more when my grandma let them go from the cage.hope she is pregnant because my mom wants a puppy.but we don't know if he got with her enough to even know that if she is pregnant or not

My female had one successful pregnancy with 3 pups in her litter over a year ago.We bred her for the second time in May but it is a false pregnancy.Will she always have false pregnancys now or is this just that we didn't catch her in the right heat cycle? She hooked up 3 times with the male stud.

my dog Dakota used to be exercising a lot, and very excited, but lately, she has just been napping, and if i take her on walks isn't as excited, we would call her our 'non-eating skinny dog" because she is so skinny, and doesn't normally eat, but the last few days she has been chomping away, she was in heat 3 days ago (thats when it stopped) we had left her and our boy dog, Dash, alone, and we are not sure if she is pregnant or not, is there such this as mood swings, and do you think she is pregnant?

Enlarged/hard nipples can be a sign of a false pregnancy, so do not go by that as proof that your dog is going to be whelping puppies. Throwing up is a sign of morning sickness and usually occurs about 3 to 4 weeks after the puppies have been conceived. About 21 days after the pups were conceived, a veterinarian will be able to determine if a dog is pregnant. If you're in doubt, schedule an appointment with your dog's veterinarian.

I Really need help! Im 15 and i think my dog is pregnant, she was in heat but we share a garden with a man next door who owns a jack russel, soo we know they have been u know... she has started to get fatter round the ribs and one side of stomach has started to hang down round her nipples, Could she be pregnant ??? also she been all loving and lazy..... Usually when dogs get stuck together the female is pregnant. If you can help it, it is better to wait until after their first heat cycle because of the possibility of birth defects. When a female is in heat, her vulva will swell and she will bleed red, but will not be ready for breeding until the blood turns a yellowish, straw color and the vulva , still swollen, is softer.

hey sorry once again forget to mention that she also was sick a couple times recently and threw up!!. Which is not common for her AT ALL!. So I don't get it. And theres all these charts to figure out when she'll give birth and stuff but this wasn't planned so I have NO idea when this happened, also because we had thought about breeding her and then weighed the pro's and con's and decided on no, so I have watched her VERY carefully till we could get hre fixed. So I have NO idea how this happened!!?. But ANYONE who can help me thank you SOOO much!!!

Well I think that my shih tzu is pregnant. She was came out of season around thanksgiving. What are the major signs of pregnancy? I know enlarged nipples and the basics. But what about the counting can you count the puppies before they are born>????????

My great dane had been in heat since right before christmas and now she has enlarged nipples.  She is drinking a lot of water but not so much eating alot. she has been sleepy more... i guess she could be pregnant right?

My rat terrier has breed to a miniature poodle several times successfully, and if this one is right it will be her fourth litter. She is not showing any signs yet, but she is only three weeks into it. Is there any ways to see if she is pregnant and when can I look for them?

My dog went into heat about 3-4 weeks ago. She is less than a year old, and a very active(hyper) dog. Our male dog is not fixed, but we didn't think there would be any problem with that yet. Lately however, she has become less active and heavier around the middle. Also her nipples have gotten bigger and more noticable. Does this mean she is pregnant?

ok i have researched alot but have a question. my dog that is 8 is an indoor dog smaller jack russel schnauzer mix and she was in heat a short time ago(I THINK) WE HAVE BEEN NOTICING WEIGHT GAIN BUT RECENTLY NOTICED HER TEATS ARE LARGER BUT NOT HARDER WHICH I HAVE BEEN HEARING IS A SIGN SO IF THEY ARE LARGE BUT STILL SOFT COULD IT STILL BE PREGO OR SOMETHING ELSE SOMEONE TOLD ME THER DOG HAS CANCER WHEN HER TEATS GOT LARGER SO NOW I AM FREAKED SO BIG QUESTION CAN SOFT ENLARGED NIPPLES STILL BE PG I AM OK WITH HER BEING PG JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT AND ALSO HER TUMMY IS VERY HARD AS WELL ..HER BEHAVIOR IS NOT NOTICEABLY DIFFERNT CAUSE SHE NEVER LEAVES MY SIDE SO I AM AFRAID I MIGHT NOT NOTICE THE CHANGE SHE IS CLINGY AND LOVEY BY NATURE.PLEASE HELP SOON THANKS

My dog has been in heat for about a week now. We had been on vacation, but kept her outside the entire time. She had been taken care of while we were out, by one of our family members. But throughout our whole vacation, she stayed outside. Our gate is broken in the front of our home from Hurricane Katrina. I was always afraid to keep her outside because there used to be a lot of stray dogs around the neighborhood. But because of Hurricane Katrina, I'm guessing, there haven't been any that I've seen lately since then. So I don't really see any possibility of her getting pregnant. But then again, she was in heat and her nipples have been getting bigger and harder. I don't think she has gotten any heavier though. She also hasn't been eating much lately. So, by those signs, does anyone think she could be pregnant?

my dog is pregnant and she is going 2 give birth in about a week. we didnt see signs that she was pregnant untill after the first month.  so if ur dog is just barely in heat, but her nipples are getting bigger, you prolly need 2 see the vet.

im not sure if she is pregnant. if she is than i didnt realize dogs can be pregnant and on there period. but i dont think she is. ask your vet. they will tell you everything you need to know.

when your dog is pregnant youll notice some signs like, the nipples are larger(but usally you wont notice that till a week or two before birth)the stomach will be larger after about a month.you mite feel some kicking in your dog. it takes about 60-63 days for your dog to give birth. your dog mite be more lazy, appitite will grow. but is it normal for there additude to change???

hey I wanted to now what exactly are the signs of a real pregnancy and a false one because my dogs breast have gotten quite large and her nipple are secreting a white liquid so I'm assuming this means she's lactating plus she's drawing up sometimes and snaps at my other male dogs but she's still active. so is it possible she could be pregnant or is it a false pregnancy ?

The signs you should look for in a pregnant or susspecting female dog, a swolen vagina, she's eating more and she is more likely to start humping things or a male dog in the house.  Pregnant female dogs usually when pregnant are very sensitive around the stomach and vagina.  Oh and can be aggressive toward you or anohter animal in the house.  I'm not no expert but i have had two cats pregnant and live birth and i know the signs.

Hold a bismuth crystal close, but not touching the dogs head between the ears.  It will glow bright green if the dog is pregnant.  Be sre to quickly discard the crystal if it does glow green, as it will explode generally within 15 minutes.  This is due to the heat generated.

My Maltese just went in heat for the first time.  She is now in heat going on 4 weeks!  the first week, she was swollen, and middle of the 2nd week she began to bleed.  She only bleed for about a week or so.  Now, she's just swollen again.  It concerns me because her ninnies are swollen and they seem to be bruised and hardened...?? i am thinking about taking her to the vet at the end of the week... any ideas?

hey i have a beagle that was just in heat and while we had the male over, i have not witnessed them breeding but now that she is back to normal, she is eating ALOT more and having vomiting problems on occasion and she is definitely getting fatter....her nipples are starting to droop a bit but i just want to know if these are signs of pregnancy or is she just gaining weight..she is only  a week or two out of her heat period. what is wrong?

My Grandpa is a vet and has been his whole life when I asked him about the nippels on my rott he said that it is just like a girl who starts to mature the hormorns change and they grow nippels  so you can't base a pregnancy on nippels like I did:)

i would like to say my dog has bigger nipples and bigger belly but does it mean shes pregnant we live with a male dog 2 but shes only a pup herself is she pregnant i need go 2 the vets Butt I'm in school she is my mane prior now so if anyone could help ill be glad thank you

I have a female lab that is not spaed, and a male lab that is not neutered.  We thought the female was in heat and we put her in w/ the male, and know she's humping him.  What's wrong

My dog has been bleeding and urinating in the house often. which is not like her to urinate in the house. Her vagina is swollen Ive noticed and her nipples are starting to get bigger. is my dog pregnant?

i think that there is a chance that she is in heat becuase there is always blood around there areas.

We have just recently noticed my dogs nipples are harder.  She is also really aggressive with our other female dog does this mean she could be pregnant?  What are the symptoms?

my huskies just got out of being in heat and i caught the neighbor dog in our backyard one day so i dont know if he was out when my dogs were but i noticed both of my dogs nipples are inlarged. are they pregnant?

.... well my dog just got out of heat like 60 days ago and her nipples have milk coming out of them.. does that mean she pregnant? The weird thing is she belly isnt big at all.. what should i do ???

My female lab is in heat as well she had a dog get to her, when i caught it happening she stop and came wagging her tale her period is lighting up she threw up this morning her nipples are the same. it s been 3 days since she got it is there such thing as pregnant test for her?

When dogs breed, they "lock on", during this time the male releases his semen.  The male must be able to hold the female in position to get to this point and they are stuck together from 5 to 20 minutes, often facing in opposite ways for much of the time.  It is possible for a female to be bred through a chain link fence but very unlikely.  From my experience when your female passes through her heat cycle with a male in close proximity the female is likely to have false pregnancy symptoms.

your dog might just be swollen from being in heat, also while dogs are in heat, they tend to eat grass to settle their stomachs, but watch her for a few days....

I have two dogs, a male and a female who are both between 10 - 11 mths. I have been seperating them in order to prevent the female from becoming pregnant, but I left them one entire day alone loose, and I found them stuck together. Is there a chance she might be pregnant? and if she is, is it bad that she's not an entire year yet? PLEASE HELP

Hi i have a staffy i'm a young lad 19 my staffy is 2 i got her from a rescue centre and they was unsure if she had been spade, i've had her for 6 weeks but the last few weeks she has got fatter and her nipples are producing milk could this be a "fake pregnacy" or have i got alot of work to do please help if ya can cheers guy

my sisters dog is almost a year old. About 50 days ago she got stuck 2 times with a dog next door. Both times she actually broke the screen door to get out, and thats when we found her stuck. Her nipples are pretty huge compared to her sister.... she was throwing up randomly but that has stopped... she has this discharge that is ALWAYS there. Shes always been clingy so i can't really say that is out of her character recently, shes been running under my parents bed, and sleeping... she never did this before. the only thign is... shes not THAT big. Someone said she could be carrying up in her ribcage (thats expanded... but it could be becuase she eats lots)

My dog has undergone A.I. 17 days ago and i'mnot even sure it was a success.I took her to the vet to see if she still was on heat,and she was was off but how do i know she went off naturally or if it's because she's pregnant? How do i know she's pregnant??

i have a chihuahua and she has not gone into heat but someone told me she could get pregnant before she has her first heat i was just wondering if it is true if it is then how do i know if she is pregnant i have not kept up with the male and female dog my family has the male belongs to my brother and the female belongs to me i was hoping to find out if she is pregnant the last time they did that thing was about a week ago now the male is neutered. she has already gained a some weight since i weighed her last. that was just before they did that thing (sorry that this is so long i thought it was important.)

my female dog hasn't been in heat for a month and a half or so.. and shes producing a whole lot of milk... also all she does is lay around.. shes smelling funny and my male dog keeps smelling her.. and shes like a wide load.. and shes a mastiff..

well we have mated are dog about 5 weeks ago and we still cant tell if he is the vets say that they aint  sure and they want us to pay £50 for a bloodtest to find out how many dogs have phantom pregnancy

Um i have Cairn Terrier and her nipples and stomach has been getting bigger and she is still activate a little but she has been sleeping&taking cat naps for the last time she mated so is she considered being pregnant

My dog came into heat, and we tried to breed her, but we're not sure it took.  Now she's vomiting everywhere.  Is there a possibility of pregnancy?  Surely there are signs before thirty days, as dogs gestations are only about sixty-three days.

ok about a week ago my dog went running off, and there is a male pit that lives down the road from me, and shes about 1 yrs old and she has enlarged nipples.. but i dont see any of the other signs  such as enlarged belly, decreased activity nothing all she has is large nipples.. and i heard that she can die from having puppies this young? is it true>
