i just bred my dog and i was wondering how do i know when my dog is ready to have her puppies?

She should have them on or about the 60th day from the last time she was bred, or when the dilation of her vulva went away.  Around the 50th day, start checking her temp rectally 2-3 times per day.  If it drops below 100, she will have the puppies w/i 24hours and you'll see her ripping up newspaper if you gave her a whelping box.  she may start digging.  She may even vomit and discharge.

I AM waiting on my shihtzu to have her second litter and i still dont know .last time she was always hugry. she does tear up news paper but she has been doing this for two weeksi thought her due date was june 17 but we still have nothing we had them 2 days early last time i dont know whats going on
