I have a one year old cavalier and he just got pancreatitis....

I have a one year old cavalier and he just got pancreatitis. is this a common illness for the breed? he has eaten the same diet since we brought him home and does not eat any table or people food.

Hi,i have a 2 year old cavalier who is just had pancreatitis,our vet seems to think that it is not typical of the breed and not in a dog so young,but not unheard of,they are more prone to diabetes which can lead to pancreatitis.he is now on a special diet which is hills canine id,hope this helps......

Hi my cavalier got diagnosed with diabetes last year has your vet mentioned anything to do with diabetes as i know that my cavaliers pancreas does not produce insulin anymore
