i am having trouble finding information on type 3 automatic volkswagon transmissions....can anyone tell me of a website that could be of help.......any help will be appreciated

ARGH!!!!  I agree.  I have a variant with the original automatic and a set of webers.  It decided to lose the ability to upshift gears.  I checked/cleaned the vacuum modulator and it still doesn't work, no matter what I do to coax it.  I'm baffled and really frustrated.

as for downshifting their is a microswitch that controls that a full throttle if you need more info email me I have also found 2 companies that will rebuild them
