My mini Dashound had one puppy on March 11 2004 and sadly it died.  We were wondering when it would be a safe time to breed her again.  We don't want her to be in any danger and we learned a lot this first time around?

Did she have any problems having the pup?  Did she fall any time prier to delivery?  Just remember it is not your fault.

How long after delivery did the puppy pass?

If you have not had an answer yet here is one in my opinion.  Wait one full cycle which is one year.  And one other is if she has not had any infections try breeding her to a toy chiaua. To open her a little.  That is if you are okay with her have chiauweenies.  But if you want full blood look for a male that has a low birth weight for pups in his blood line.  And when she is about 30 days watch the amount of food that she eats.  This will allow a smaller pup for delivery with out problems, but she is now matured so she should be in the Clear of a good next Delivery.  Some times this happens.  Good Luck.
