When I press the break peddle, on my 1968 vw bug, the break lights do not turn on until I press them down really hard.  How do I adjust the lights to turn on earlier?

No adjustment possible. Change brake light switch(es).

youll find plenty of VW sites out there that can help any time. the top 3 deal in VW"S all the time. they also deal with the recraetion users (i.e. sand rails and the like) go a head and give it a shot. (or you may call your local VW shop (not dealer)for help).
