Where can I find a breeder for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in my local area?

You can check web sites like www.pets4you.com they list people by state. or else check your local classifieds. They also have breeder referrals on the akc website. I know in my area I don't have anyone real close to my home I traveled 150 miles for one of mine and about 40 miles for another.

An excellent way to meet the nearest and/or best breeders in the area is to find out where local AKC dog shows are being held and attend.  Hanging around the ring most people are happy to help and give advice.  In fact you may be surprised at how much they will tell you.  The breeder may have come from some distance, but you will still get an idea of what is available.   Perhaps someone has an easy way to get dog show info generally.  I've only gotten it through private sources and have not needed to search.
