My pomerainian just had puppies in December, she is in heat twice in a year, can you breed them both heats? I want to breed her again but not sure if during her second heat will be to soon?

as a breeder of boston terriers, i would advise you not to breed your dog when she comes in heat after already having puppies. having puppies is hard on the dog and it can take up to a year for her body to be ready to have more puppies. i breed my females once a year only for their health as well the health of the puppies. good luck

I agree that you should wait about a year after she has pups for more to give your dog's body rest. If she goes into heat twice a year then breed every other heat. My dog goes into heat once a year (about every 11-12 months) so I would probably breed her every time.

I don't know if you have kids but imagine getting pregnant having the baby and then getting pregnant again right away. It's damaging to the body, if you care about your dog think of her health and the health of future puppies give her plenty of time to regain her strength wait a few cycles.

I have a min pin and we she was around a male min pin for a few days. At this point she had never been in heat but the last day she was around the male she became in heat. I was just wondering if this means the mated or just so happens she became in heat that day?  Thanks!

I believe you should wait from personal experience. I am a pit bull breeder and it is very wise to let your dog rest before having another liter. Every dog is different, but for the safety of your dog wait!!!

my boy pom always gets hyper when his mate is in heat which is about once a year. Try not to breed more than once a year so the  female pom will have enough time to regain her strength

I AGREE THAT YOU SHOULD WAIT ABOUT A YEAR
AFTER SHE HAS PUPS FOR MORE TO GIVE YOUR
DOGS BODY TO REST.
