I HAVE A VW GOLF CL 1300i IT KEEPS LOSING POWER AND THEN SHOOTING FORWARDS i HAVE CHANGED THE FOLLOWING FUEL FILTER AND RELAY PLUGS LEADS COIL DISTRIBUTOR ROTOR ARM AND CAP AND THE IGNITION MODULE AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE I HAVE CLEANS ALL CONNECTORS AS WELL ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED

check the o2 sensors or the throttle position sensor

Bruv, I got the same probs wiv my 2.0 1992 GTI. I'm gonna get it checked out. I'll look for information and let you know of the results. Please let me know if you find anything as well. Thanx.

I've been told that my clutch is slipping cause its worn. If u can hear it grinding just as u rest ur foot on it and its stiff with high idle point and jerky sharp press, then its most prob so. Otherwise check fuel filter, injectors etc.
