what date is it safe for a pug to give birth
i know the normal gestation period is 63 days this is my first litter with my pug

Anything out of the range of 58-68 days should be taken to the vet. Watch your dog for signs of being uncomfortable out of this time period because it's possible you counted wrong too.

I would like to know what I need to do to get ready, I got two pugs from my niece, the female was pregent the end of May.

she is getting big I want to make sure I have every thing I need, & when to except them.

Help!  I don't know if my dog is in labor, it is day 58 and now every little thing i think this is it, this is it and nothing happens!  What am i looking for?  and what on earth is a 'plug'?!  
All help greatly appreciated, thanks.
