This is a sales person feedback and sales data sheet.  It tells the sales person by number "7300" e.c.t. the dollar amount of sales and feedback from the customer. So I need the summary page to tell me how many sales so and so has made, the dollar amount for those sales. Then I need it to tell me how many of those sales have feedback from the customer and the total dollar amount for them. Then the same for sales with no feedback.

So I have a workbook that contains a summary spreadsheet with several columns and a data spreadsheet.  I have a formula in column b,on the summary page, that looks at the data spread sheet.  I have the formula  count how many times the number 7300 is in column g.of the data,  then if 7300 is in column g it will pull in the dollar amount from column h and sum that on my summary page column c.  From there I need to know how to have it pull in the rest of the information.  Now say there were 36 references to 7300.I now need column d to look at those 36 references and tell me how many of those have any text in column i of my data sheet count those and then pull in the dollar amount for those and sum it on the summary page column e.

Is there a formula for looking and counting cells with text without it having to be a specified word?

Thank you,

Judyloves
