I need to find how long marijuana stays in the urine.  I took a urine test which was negative and was told it only stays in the body only 3 days.

I read that marijuana stays in your urine for 2 days up to 11 weeks depending on the persons metabolism, how much they smoked and how long they smoked.

Marijuana does not stay very long in your body.  One day at the most if you are not a heavy user.  Basically it stores in your fat, therefore, it all depends on how heavy you are.

Marijuana is most commonly found in hair, blood, urine and fat stores in the body. Depending on the frequency of usage, detox time may vary. For heavy daily smokers (2-3x daily or more), expect 90 days. For infrequent users, 2-3 weeks depending on quantity and metabolism. I would not recommend implementing a new diet or excercise program during this period. In hopes of expediting the process by means of a healthier lifestyle, you will be setting yourself up for failure. When one burns fat, the traces of marijuana stored there will be re-released into the bodies' system. Increase of appetite and weight gain are common side-effects during usage. Any weight loss, even after a 10 year period can cause test results to come up positive. Maintain the same weight or gain a little extra until you have passed your test. Lastly, you must make a decision. The decision of wether the usage of marijuana is worth the hassle for the fight to stay clean or not. I know quite a few individuals who have successfully struggled to stay clean for months in hopes of cleaning up their lives. To this day they are still being haunted by traces that result in positive drug tests.

I smoked some Marijuana on 10/15/04. That was the last time I smoked Marijuana. I only smoked it one more time before that and that was around 6+ years ago. Do you think if I take a urine test 1 or 2 weeks from now that the Marijuana test will come back POSITIVE for Marijuana? Please reply back and let me know. Thanks in advance.

if you had not smoked in 30 days 1 or 2 joints
will test postive (without flushing) for a week

if you smoked evey day for the last month
get at least two days clean  do a flush
and your 90% likely to pass

Urine is about 3 days, blood around a month.  Perhaps the person who is supposedly in Jail was around someone who was smoking it before the time of the test.

I know it is more than 30 days!!!!! I just took a drug test and havent smoked for over 80 days!! I sware to you!! I just lost my job because of it!  (I used to smoke once a day before i quit)

I have quit 29 days and still have a positive urine sample,I hear it can take up to 80 days for a long term user.Definitely more than 3 days that i am sure of.

There was a study done on a sober kid. He didn't smoke for a month and they took a drug test to make sure he tested negative, he did. The next day he smoked 2 whole bowls. The third day he took a drug test and tested positive. The day after that he took a drug test and tested negative. He was in pretty good shape and was pretty active. If you are at all active. And smoke only once or twice a month, you can expect somewhere from 2-5 days. It will stay in your blood for about 30 days.

After one-off or occasional use...between 3-5 days after use.

However, THC can be detected in a chronic user up to 12 weeks after use although the average is 25-27 days.

The time THC is in your system depends. THC is stored in your fatty lipid tissue.From there, it is slowly released into the bloodstream for up to several weeks - depending on the amount and frequency of use and the user's level of physical activity. In chronic and physically inactive users, THC may accumulate in fatty tissues faster than it can be eliminated. This accumulation leads to longer detection periods for these individuals. Also, users with a high percentage of body fat in relation to total body mass are prone to longer drug detection periods for marijuana.
one time- 1 to 10 days
chronic use- 1 to 5 weeks

Hello I havnt smoked for 1 month and 1 day... I have to do a test in two days.. and I didnt smoke alot before.. maybe 3 times a weeks one joint ... should I still be doing some  sort of detox .. or should i be ok ??

I think if you take one drag of a joint you will have the chemical THC in you system for at least a week. If you smoke the whole thing it might stay in you system you three to four weeks. Now I wish it didn't but it does and in the U.S.A. its illegal where as in some places you will not have that problem.

Marijuana stays in blood for 24 hours, and urine for up to 3 days after a smoking session, of course this depends on a persons metabolism, but also depends on how much an individual smoked.

THC may remain in urine for in between 3-21 days, on a scale from moderate to heavy users. It may remain in your blood/ fat tissue for in between 2-9 weeks, once again on a scale from moderate to heavy users.
