For some of you game dog experts I'd like to know what you think of the gameness of the Blue Nose Pitbull, and also of the Sorrel bloodline.  Do you think the Sorrel is a gamebred bloodline or showdog?  How earily on should you be able to notice game type toughness in you dog?

pits that come right from winning pit stock, are always your best bet for gameness.lots of pitbulls now are just bred. for looks.the badest pit i ever owned was straight out of fought winning parents. he was a bad bulldog that would clamp down on adogs nose bury his teeth, and not let go come hell or high-water!nothing gave him afight!

the blue pit with blue nose where once a game line back 20 years ago. but now after being breed to mastiff bred dogs, all you have is a big dog that does not have the heart it use to have.
if you are talking about buckshot sorrells then yes, they are from game line. but if you talking about bert sorrell then no.
they just show dogs for family's homes.

I'm sure U must be an expert on the subject of gameness when you retort with replies like Boudreaux' dogs being of old school and that Eli and Carven.......or did you not click the speller check, Carver dogs are no longer Carver dogs, because there is no Carver dogs.
Maybe some folks have some dogs that came down the lines of Carver's dogs but rest confident only Carver had Carver dogs.
JUST LIKE ONLY, Floyd has Boudreaux dogs.
Hate to think what you think gameness is when you state that you will cross Eli x Boudreaux (Bert's or Rick's ?) Sorrells dogs.
Damn Boy, You may as well buy yourself a show harness and as you just about have yourself a winner there. Show Winner.

I have a blue nose pit.  She is half boudreaux and the other half is carver and sorrel.  Although, she doesnt see any game.  her mom on the other hand is used to catch wild hogs. i also have two other pits, The male is "skull boudreaux"'s grandson.  The female is also skull's granddaughter.  Different mothers.  These two dogs were purchased from FLoyd B. 3 years ago. I will be breeding these two dogs, and starting a kennel of the boudreaux bloodline.(Since Floyd's Kennels have been raided.  I have the purest boudreaux bloodline.  These two dogs are uncled by Reno.

Most blues are going to be curs. You get what you breed for. If a dog is bred to be a large oversized housepets bred for color, looks and size thats what you'll get. I think some of the sorrells dogs are still pretty good. It depends on where you get it and who it comes from, some are simply showbred or used in weight pull, much better chance then a blue. Bert and his dogs have produced a lot of CHs and many more winners. But I do think that present day might not be so great.

Sorrell dogs were bred for gameness originally, but it has been bred down. I have never heard of a game blue nosed pit, they are mainly for show. My dogs are straight off of Crenshaw's Jeep and Honeybunch. That's about as game as it gets!

THE BEST GAME DOG CAN NOT BE DETERMINED BY THE BLOODLINE.......YOU WILL KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE THE "DOG". THE BEST THING TO KNOW IS TO KNOW YOUR DOG. SOME BLOODLINES ARE TESTED AND PROVEN AND ARE GREAT STARTER DOGS BUT TIME AND PATIENCE IS THE ONLY TRUE ANSWER TO WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR.  IN TWO YEARS, LOOK FOR A SMALL KENNEL NAMED "THE LAST MAN STANDING", OR THE CAPPONE BLOODLINE(NAMED AFTER THE WORLDS BEST UNKNOWN PET "CAPPONE" WHO TURNED OUT TO BE BETTER THAN HIS GRANDPOP'S,"MACHO", A 37LB MALE WHO COULD NOT AND REFUSED TO BE BEAT AS LONG AS I WATCHED AND SAID GET HIM BOY!. THE BEST OF THE BEST UNKNOWN. AFLEX84@AOL.COM WAIT. 19YR'SWITH THIS BREED, JUST WAIT AND SEE OR BE LEFT LYING IN THE DIRT. MY DOGS WILL BE NO HOLDS BARRED. I HAVE THE BEST DOG IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA, AND THE BEST PUP IN TEXAS RIGHT NOW AND THEY WILL NOT BE MY FOUNDATION DOGS, THE BEST IS YET TO COME. JUST WAIT, 2YEARS AND THE SPORT WILL CHANGE FOREVER. I LOVE THIS BREED, I LOVE ALL DOGS AND I WILL NOT BE BEAT...........EVERY THING YOU EVER HOPED FOR IN THE AMERICAN PIT BULL , "THE LAST MAN STANDING" HOLD ME TO THIS' YA HERE!

go for the game dog that has a strong foundation of fighting line history or blood line, old red nose family line, carver, bullison, bolio or mixed blood of said blood line. sample: as indian rock X red boy jeep X linear vanna. a pretty sure that a pitbull with this heritage has a superb game dog skills.

basically a dog needs to be schooled for a while before being full blow tested, game test at about 2 years old. some dogs start earlier others later. as for the blue noses, no champ (expt. going light) was ever a blue...............think about it

What the hell are you guys on about, you really do not have a clue about these dogs do you!

First of all nose colour, eye coulour or any other physical characteristic has absolutely no relevence to a dogs fighting ability.  Secondly it does not matter if your dog is straight from dog fighting parent, this does not mean your dog is a game dog.  Gamness is the ability for a dog to take punishment from another dog and still sratch back.  Gameness can only be tested for each specific dog no matter where the dog has come from.  Even if you have two game parents the likellness that you will produced 1 game pup is very rare.  gamnes is not an easy trait to pass on.  Thats why every dog in a pedigree has to be tested and bred in order to keep a tight gene pull of combat animals.  1 breeding can ruin the genetics!  So saying that your dogs came from fighting dogs does not mean you have a good dog!  what were the grandparents, great grand parents, GT GT GT grandparents like? You guys really dont know what you are on about.
