Don't just play around with it if you don't know what your doing! Go out and buy the Haynes manual. It has full instructions on how to do it!

remove the plastic cover from the steering column. remove the steering wheel, there is a nut under the horn cover which will pop out after sliding it from the right to the left, or vice versa. There is a clamp that holds the switch assembly in place. Loosen the clamp and the switch assembly will come out. The switch can now be disconnected, and after removing the small Phillips screw that is under the bracket, the electrical part of the switch can be removed from the assembly. the switch is available from advanced auto for 26.00. the key is not changed as the mechanical lock actuates the electrical switch.
