My Mastiff is 11 weeks old and biting and chewing everything. We say no, etc and she continues. Also we are having a hard time potty training her. She may go on the paper once or twice but not others, or she will be outside for a while with me, come in the house and go to the bathroom! Help!

I am sorry that your pup is eating everything.  I was lucky mine didn't chew a thing.  You may want to look at getting some bitter apple to spray on things.  You can get it at any pet store or try Tabasco.  Also, when you tell her no, make it specific to the action.  No chew, no bite, no bark etc.  As for potty training, crate her.  You might look at the answer I left for another person on this site.  Good Luck!  Go to puppy school!  The info is so worth it.  She is going to be a big handful if she isn't trained.

well, mastiffs are very playful dogs at young ages and tend to be very curious, so they tend to chew things because of common curiosity. I would try bitter apple spray or something like that that would give whatever the object is a bad taste! Also i would buy the dogs chew toys and objects like that 2 bite on as the problem may also be pain in his/her mouth. Encourage him/her to chew on the toys instead of on the couch. About the potty training you should probably buy some type of spray they sell at stores like Petco. I do not remember the name, but what it is, is a spray that has the odor of manure! spray it in the grass outside and the dog will no that is where to go potty. inside they have a potty repellent for dogs that will make them not go to the bathroom in the area! Just make sure you give him/her the nicest treatment and encourage him/her all the way! I hope it works out! :)

I have a 2yr old that still seems to like to chew. I pretty much broke him of the majority of it by staying by his side CONSTANTLY. If he put anything in his mouth that wasnt allowed, I would immediatly say "NO", take it away and replace it with one of his toys. Same goes with potty training. Do not leave them alone for a minute. If you cant keep every second to him, put him in his bed/crate until you CAN keep every bit of attention to him. Eventually he will get it but 11 weeks is still so young! Be patient Mom!

Most pet stores have a liquid called "Natures Miracle".  This has stopped our pup from peeing in the same place, although he is still having accidents once in a while.

I have also noticed that these dogs ALWAYS want to be around you.  I move away from him or go to another room and he is on my heels.  Also even at 18 weeks he has become pretty protective of us.  What a wonderful dog!!!
