Birthing - Delivery

At this point you can start to push. The point from the end of transition to the actual delivery of the baby should be less than one hour and in some women can take less than fifteen minutes. The baby will usually descend head first with the head facing the back of the mother's body. Other possible positions include the baby facing front, the baby descending feet or butt first (breech delivery) or an arm or leg descending first. All fetal positions except head first, face back, may require medical intervention.
