There was also a small bug (fixed in 6.5.0) which caused it to not to work in certain situations. From: Bill Wohler <wohler@newt.com> Date: Sun, 2 Jun 1991 21:56:45 -0700 By the way, if you find that taking NEW out of your sequence has no effect, it may be that you're being affected by the system init file (usually in /usr/local/lib/nn/init).
