  I agree.
  
  Too much chat in the past often led to a flurry
  of 'how do I unscubscribe' messages.

  This is not an issue for a public vote anyway, methinks.
  Let the maintainer(s) decide; he/she/they can ask for a
  'vote' (to be sent to him/her/them).
