Possibly also to rtfm.mit.edu -- providing protocol-based redundancy (FTP
rather than HTTP) as well as site-based redundancy. A link to your FAQ on
rtfm can be assembled as ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/faqs/>.

It depends how bothered you are about people getting your FAQ, or getting
the most up-to-date version at least. It's arguable that the fact that
someone's reading your URL header suggests that they already /have/ a copy
of your FAQ, though.

On the other hand, it may be useful to direct users to a page where the
FAQ is available firstly in an up-to-date form (you'd be surprised how
many ancient copies of your FAQ are circulating...) and secondly in other
formats which a reader might prefer, such as HTML, DVI or a PostScript
version for printing.

On this, completely unrelated, issue of printing, it's certainly worth
providing a version of your FAQ specifically designed for print, since most
web browsers make a godawful job of rendering a page for printing. Knock
up a PostScript (or PDF) version and link it in to your HTML version with:

       <link rel="alternate" media="print" href="faq-for-print.ps" type=
       "application/postscript" />

in the document header. Good browsers can use that to fetch and print a
version specifically intended for print rather than hashing up a version
from the HTML.
