Not quite sure why you think that. Just to make it completely clear,
the domain you should use is example.com. It's registered and
maintained specifically as a domain which will always be safe to use as
an example, because that's its only purpose. And though the host
actually exists, there is no danger that it will ever really do
anything useful, like accepting email. Because of this it's much less
likely to confuse anyone in the long run.
