I'm interested in producing a guide giving instructions for individual news
agents on how to post to *.answers: mainly on the issue of adding the
arbitrary headers that are required, but also possibly on the issues of adding
appropriate Supersedes and threading multi-part FAQs together.
The purpose of this is two-fold: firstly, obviously, to give users a step-by-
step guide to consult for their individual agent if they're unsure how to set
things up for posting to *.answers, and secondly to allow us at *.answers to
be a bit more helpful when people have trouble posting -- at the moment all
we can do if the particular agent isn't familiar to us is to diagnose a
problem and suggest the user rtfm or use the FAQ server.
Can anyone help by supplying details for their preferred newsreader?
I'd advise contacting me initially with the name of your news agent, since
I don't want anyone to go to the trouble of producing anything only to find
that someone else has already covered it.
Thanks,
Nick
