They don't go back anywhere near far enough, though. The "early"
Yahoo they show has the new logo, superfluous extra links under the
logo for things like maps, and so on. It looks remarkably similar to
the current Yahoo actually, although it is a little less cluttered.
They mention the earlier versions of Yahoo that used to be hosted at
Stanford, but they don't have a copy of one anymore (or at least I
didn't find it). It's a shame. Yahoo was a _lot_ cleaner in those
days...
As a point of trivia: anyone remember the whole original URL? I
remember the subdomain (machine name) at Stanford, but I can't seem to
recall the subdirectory it was stored in. Was it just /yahoo/ or was
there more to it than that? Anyone remember?
