Eudora Pro 4.2.2 Mac:
Has an option "receive MIME digests as attachments". Applies when the
message is received, and thus the presentation of a given message is
determined on receipt.
Shows the digest as an attachment. Does NOT allow reading it as a
single message. Double-clicking it creates a mini-mailbox, in which you
can read individual messages. It does not understand the cid: URL. The
individual messages in the mini-mailbox only have header information
from the messages within the digest. In this message, the only header
was Subject. As a result, all messages show a From: ???@??? and require
me to type the reply address. They do use the individual Subject, which
normally would be the Right Thing; this thread is an exception.
As I say, the above is with the option "receive MIME digests as
attachments" ON. According to the documentation, with the option off
the digest is displayed as a single long message, and it's not possible
to switch views of a single message.
The newsreader I use, Hogwasher, simply displays the contents. I'll ask
the author for comments.
