[faq-maintainers] Q about posting to odd mod'd group

I'm maintaining the anime music FAQ, and have considered adding
the rec.arts.anime.info moderated news group to the Newsgroups:
header. However, before I submit the change for approval, I wanted
to find out if it would be ok with the moderator. As some folks
already know, the moderator (Steve Pearl) has been unavailable for
quite some time (I hear health reasons) and has some sort of
automodding or someone is subbing for him. Regardless, the last
two attempts to query the moderator have been fruitless. These
are my questions:

1) If the .info group is botted/autoapproved, then is it ok to
submit an news.answers approved FAQ without the moderator's
expressed approval, i.e. is this standard practice for
   moderated announce/info groups?

2) Should I do a manual posting (rather than by the usual
autoposter), with only that group in the newsgroup header,
before I submit the request for approval, to make sure
it is botted/autoapproved/manually approved? Or is the
   approved Newsgroups: header absolute?

I don't want to end up stepping on toes, violating n.a. policy,
or screwing up my FAQ posting frequency, in an attempt to change
my distribution.

Otherwise, I'm happy enough just continuing to query the moderator
until I get a response before submitting the change for approval.

That brings me to an unrelated question: with some idiot ISPs
having a 5-group-crosspost, or worse, limitation, should I try to
keep my Newsgroups: header at 4 groups? I have 4 right now, and
in the event that the r.a.a.info group is ok to post to, I can
drop one of the others (r.a.a.misc). But I'm just wondering if
those ISPs cause difficulties with FAQs, and if I should take
that into consideration. I'm going to try to use the faq server
to autopost, and I think I read using it gets around the problem
(posts to individual groups?). True?
