The bottom line to me seems to go something like this: Support
personal freedom and liberty. People are free to produce FAQs for
their own personal reasons, and others are free to read them and note
their sources to decide what sort of weight to put on the information
they contain. You are free to voice your opinion about a FAQ and its
source, and others are free to make up their own mind about it.
In the end, we certainly shouldn't expect any sort of organization to
"handle" problems with FAQs and their possibly biased sources, rather
we should expect each person to make his or her own personal
decisions. We can discuss the sorts of things on which we each base
such decisions if that's what we want to do, but I hope no one is
suggesting an organized set of "you must be unbiased" rules to impose
on FAQ sources. Let personal liberty and personal responsibility
reign, I say.
