And why not? They *do* know more about it than most of us.

It would make an enormous difference whether it came from
the technical department (unimpeded) or from or impeded by
the marketing department.

Ipana advertising in the 1920s is given quite a bit of
credit for persuading people in the US to brush their teeth
regularly, with the resultant improvement in dental health.
