Micha -

I had the same problem.

It seems that modern news and mail programs do not allow the average user
to insert extra news or mail headers. I have looked at programs on both
the Mac an PC platforms and it appears to generally be the same.

There is a FAQ server available where you can store and update your FAQ
and have it posted automatically. In this case you create the FAQ with
approved headers in the text area of a --mail-- message following certain
spacing conventions between the header and faq body and using the subject
line of the mail message for the server's commands you commit the FAQ
there for posting.

This is what I did and it serves well. And since its automated it also
posts/updates the FAQ at the archives at MIT which is also mirrored
several other locations.

If Pam is reading, please sent Micha the URL for the FAQ server.

And Micha - it takes a bit of time to get used to this system if you are
not familiar with it but once you get the hang of it its very convenient.
