This statement contains an assumption. The same assumption has been
contained in other posts on this topic, so I believe it is useful to
bring it out into the open.
This statement assumes that the spammers will do nothing. History
shows that this is incorrect. If FAQs become exempt from blocking
then spammers will exploit this. At best, making FAQs exempt from
blocking is a short-term solution. A better long-term solution, I
would suggest, is to encourage more intelligent blocking based on the
BI thingie (which I do not pretend to understand).
With regard to the Hippo software, is it shipped with default
settings? If so, the developers should be encouraged to make these
settings more FAQ friendly.
