Delphi IIRC has a crosspost filter of 13 or 15. After we install the new
server, I'm going to advocate lowering that to 11 or 13. Crossposts on INN
on Alpha OSF seem to be very CPU & IO intensive and the increase in
resource use seems to go up by the square of the crosspost count on
Delphi's configuration.

A lot of sites have Acceptable Use Policies prohibiting identical posts to
6 or more groups which may indicate they have filters set to that level for
local originated posts. IBM.net IIRC is one ISP which does filter outgoing
to a max of 5 groups. IIRC Someone mentioned in an earlier thread on a
related subject that a major NZ site filters at 9 or 10 and it is a choke
point between the USA and E Asia Australia and NZ.
