I've often thought that it would be REAL nice if there was a search
option at the major search engines for FAQs. At Lycos you can search 13
categories from the web to recipes; at Excite a shorter list, at
AltaVista the Web or Usenet; at HotBot Usenet, people, etc., and at
InfoSeek the Web, Usenet, companies, or news. At NONE can you search
FAQs. I'd say it is not surprising that relatively few know about
faqs.org -- it hasn't been marketed that well among the places most
people use to search the net.
I'd be more than happy to contact the search engines about putting
faqs.org in this list of places to search. Would others be interested
too?
