Whoever designed the new software seems unfamiliar with traditional
Listserver norms, but perhaps the current internet mail audience is also
unfamiliar with those norms.
Anyway, lets wait until the "listmaster" gets back to us on the whys and
hows of the change...Hopefully this new software is just an experiment, and
its author will be directed to the RFC's and the various Mail program FAQ
files 8->>

Not quite any character, because that comment came through OK.
Probably not worth figuring out exactly what set of characters
they think can appear in an email address.
Actually, there's another possibility --- I think all the examples
we've tried so far had a colon in front, like this: [*@*]
Once I see whether that gets substituted, I promise to refrain
from further bandwidth wastage.
But: do any of the consensus.com mail admins actually read this list?
Or do we need to find someone to complain to?
