Since you have access to a Unix box, have you tought about going directly
via inews?

That's what I do. I have the 12 parts of the FAQ with correct header info
and stuff and pipe it right thru to inews which handles the transport end
of it just fine. And since r.a.m.e. has just started using PGPMoose, we
now pipe it into our PGPMoose scripts which "signs" it and then sends it
out to the world. I set up a batch file (I guess that's what they're
called in the unix world...) which runs via cron one a week and takes care
of the posting for me.

I was never happy with any windows based solution, and I haven't had the
time to write my own (and why would I want to, since my way works good for
me?). Writing one in VB shouldn't be that hard given the NNTP VBX/OCXs
that are available.

All of the people in my building are insane. The guy above me designs synthetic hairballs for ceramic cats. The lady across the hall tried to rob a department store... with a pricing gun... She said, "Give me all of the money in the vault, or I'm marking down everything in the store..."
