Not quite the same boat, but I do crosspost my FAQ to another more
general group that tends to get similar questions. If your groups are
very similar, I don't see why they shouldn't share a FAQ. Post it to
all groups that are interested, even if it's not the official FAQ for all
of them, to raise awareness.

It should only have one archive name, but the mechanism that links it
to a directory structure that mirrors the newsgroup hierarchy will
make sure that it's available under all the groups. All you should
have to worry about is where is belongs in the canonical archives and
where to post it.
