This happened to me a couple of years ago when rec.games.miniatures split
into three new groups. I post my FAQ to the .misc portion officially, and
occasionally to the other two branches as well. All I ever did was change
the headers to reflect the new heirarchy, and sometimes I add the other two
groups, and there's been no problem.
Back when the split occurred, Ping told me it would be fine to just make the
necessary change and post as well as send in for approval just so that rtfm
would have everything corretly archived. I did, it was (after a few months)
re-approved, and there didn't need to be any break in the posting schedule.
(All I did was double-post, one with the approved: line and one without so
that it'd be checked and re-approved.)
