FAQ server malfunctioning?

Today I received five messages from the autoreplier on
news-answers-request implying that I had submitted my five parts of the
diabetes FAQ for approval. These parts are posted by the rtfm faq
server; I have not changed any of them in the past few days. They
weren't even due to be posted (last posted 8/3, next to be posted
8/16). So far I've not received a response to my inquiries from anyone
on the news.answers moderators panel.

Is anyone else encountering a similar problem?

Is this possibly the result of a gateway spew somewhere?
