Don't forget to give *some* credit to the readers. Many of them will know
what's going on.

Instead of trying to block the other FAQ, I would suggest that you note
in your own FAQ about the factual history of the FAQs (since readers may
wonder why there are two), and let them decide on their own. I would also
consider actually registering a copyright for your FAQ as well. Gives you
more teeth (leg?) to stand on.

You might even explain that approval to post in news.answers does not an
"official FAQ" make.
