Thanks to Bill and Al for pointing us to the info.ietf.* news groups
and the discussion about proposed message headers. I've taken a look
and it will take me a while to get up to speed on this but I agree
that it's important for us to coordinate our FAQ header and auxiliary
headers effort with the IETF header effort. A couple things to keep
in mind about FAQ headers and auxiliary headers:

* It's important that there are headers that can be used to
point to the following:

- this message
- hypertext version of this message
- *latest* version of this message (possibly both plain text
and hypertext)

Note that for many FAQs, these will be three (or four) distinct
URLs.

* Many news readers hide a lot of headers so even if there were a
standard header for "Location of this Message" and "Location
of Latest Version of this Message," we might want to put this
info in auxiliary headers as well as regular headers.

Thanks,
Nancy
