how best to write email addresses in FAQs

What I perhaps should have done was simply to ask people to send
replies to Larry, to be summarized, without making editorial comments
about whether the question was relevant. Then perhaps fewer people
would have had to feel the need to reply back to the list defending
Larry's decision to ask the question (... and in the process,
defeating my intent to reduce the amount of traffic flowing on
faq-maintainers while still getting useful feedback on the question
posted back to it). I apologize.

I concede that there is a high level of interest in WWW issues for
many FAQ maintainers at this time; however, I also note that the list
maintainers are the ones who see the unsubscription requests pour in.
Then again, though, trying to exert too tight an editorial control on
the topics discussed makes the mailing list that much less useful a
resource for those of you who *DO* stay subscribed, and I probably
stepped a little too far in that direction this time.
