In my FAQ I describe resources using URLs whenever possible, in order to make
best use of the automatic conversion of most URLs to hypertext links at the OSU
WWW FAQ server.
I don't use the URL: pre-appendage because very few people do, and the OSU
converter doesn't require it. (Demonstrating its redundance, IMO)
I don't use the angle brackets because the conversion program at OSU seems to
include the right angle bracket as part of the URL, thus making a bad link.
They aren't part of the URL definition anyway, only a recommendation.
I do express e-mail addresses as mailto:mcurrent@carleton.edu, even though the
OSU site doesn't support conversion of mailto: URLs, with the hope that it will
in the future.
