I have noticed several FAQs using format control character strings such as:

Subject: Some interesting FAQ subject

@1.
Subject: An interesting sub-subject

@2.
Subject: And so forth...

Can someone fill me in as to the type of formatting this is and what
type of reader program uses this format?

Just trying to do my best for the upcoming FAQ on "Graphics File Formats",

James
