Of course, you also have to take into account that not everyone is in
America. Over here, the convention is that the loser pays for the
legal fees of the winner. Furthermore, for small amounts of money
(like, say, a fair share of the likely profits of such a book) one can
go to the Small Claims Court and save on expensive legal fees.
It's also probable that amongst the FAQ authors, there's at least one
person qualified to act as a lawyer in a copyright infringement case.
