Unless this book does really, amazingly, astonishingly well, there aren't
going to *be* enough royalties to justify splitting up into N little bits.
Some of the folks on this list seem to think this book is going to do as
well as the next Stephen King opus. Not likely. Last I heard, the vast
majority of books lose money.
I'd say that contributing a portion of any profits to the "rtfm.mit.edu
Hardware Improvement Fund" would be a nice gesture on the part of the
publishers. If we are very lucky, it might amount to enough to buy a disk
drive.
